Never too late to be glad you won

Hello everyone!

This is a funny one, the funniest yet anyway :)). Last night while i was browsing Pinterest on my phone - almost always from the phone - i see this very lovely and cool scrapbooking album (not mine, i know, im too funny for my shirt :)))) that makes me open the pin and go to the website. Especially since it was from one i'm following. I don't even remember if i found that specific album in the post i was led to. What i was amazed to see, as i was scrolling down the page, is one of my albums. I scroll back up to the top of the page and see that the post is from 7th of January. Ok, i knew, since i submitted another album to the challenge in December, that they were supposed to announce the winners on the 7th of January. But then, seeing the album, i realized they made a mistake: this album is old, it's from last year. I said to myself "They probably checked out the whole blog, not the specific page, and this album made it to the top, even though it's a bit much of a difference...in time." Anyway, I was hesitating to become too glad, i did not know if i should be glad: on one side i was happy that one of my albums made it, but on the other hand i was a bit sad that it was not the album i actually submitted this time...I know you understand what i mean. And just as i scroll back to the top of the page i see that the post was from the 7th of February!!! Im glad because my album made it to Top 5 most beautiful albums from the 32 that were submitted. Not bad! This is it:

That album is now in UK i think, it belongs to an Arts student and it was a gift from her mother. Lovely, eh? That album was made with papers from a Valentine's Day collection, but it made perfect sense to be offered to an 18 years old girl, who loves journals and secret pockets and...secrets, obviously ;). Just to refresh your memory:

Well, that's it then! Until my next post, have a lovely time!

Baby-girl chunky album

Hello everyone,

im back with a new album - can't even call it a minialbum anymore, since this one is a chunky one. It's about baby girls and it can hold 180 photos of all the usual sizes, from mommy's pregnancy, through baby's first pics in the hospital and all the way to the baby's 1st year, month by month.
The reason i started creating this album is the design: im always on the look for interesting and challenging designs and lately i found them in Laura's Craft Zone. The latest Christmas album is also inspired by her designs, with the small change regarding the binding system. I wanted to use the same system this time as well, but that one only works with even number of pages, which is the norm  for albums :). It's this one that is the exception: it has 9 pages. It's actually my biggest album - but only from the number of pages point of view. From the size point of view i have created albums as big as 30 x 30 cm.
This album is perfect not only as a baby shower gift. The girl does not have to be a toddler for you to buy this album. You can offer this - to yourself or someone else - even if the child is 15 years old. All that matters is that you have all those photos and you feel that you need to keep them in a more meaningful way.
Here is a collage of the photos:

And the video:

I will submit this album to Minialbum Maker's challenge.
I do hope you will like it. I do have one or two other projects im working on. And i will get back with details about them as well. Until next time, have a lovely winter!

Christmas memories from the most wonderful time of the year

Hello everyone!

Hope you entered the New Year in health and happiness! And that you enjoyed your Xmas holidays. We had a lovely time and enjoyed every moment of these holidays, still do it actually :). Really, we are still listening to Xmas music (right now "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas"), because i feel i need to extend this cozy feeling for as long as possible. I know you get me ;).
I am a bit delayed, already since November i think. Back then i remember i created a Halloween album - as i said, late, it should have been ready on the 31st of October. Anyway, i submit it for a challenge in December, which guess what - was most likely meant for Xmas creations. But luckily i was admitted anyway.
Despite all the Xmas preparations, i made time for scrapbooking as well, i could not otherwise. Especially because my hubby had to get his sleep schedule back in sync, and so he slept some over the day. The structure base was ready even before Xmass, i think, but then the paper matting and all happened afterwards.
I felt i needed to make this album because i loved the paper collection. And so, once i decided, i started looking for a cool and challenging design. And i found it in Laura's Craft Zone - lately i basically create based on her designs. And this one is based on the Tim Holtz album. The only difference is the paper collection, of course, and the binding system.
So, without further ado, here is a photo collage and below you will find the video  walkthrou of the whole album. Enjoy!

I'll see you next time, with a lovely baby-girl album for 180 photos.
