Zero help with their first album ever

...or at least from now on, I promise you.
I actually did this before, like 4 years ago or so, and then the kids worked together with their parents. Now the kids - as young as 7 yo only - only have me. And i must admit i help them when they feel they can't perform specific tasks, the more precise ones. But next time we start with decorating the albums, so that should be fun and i will let them do it all by themselves. And some of the papers might be crooked, but the satisfaction will be much greater than if i would have helped them with everything. After all, this is just the beginning, only their 1st album ever, and they are so young.
This is a slightly updated version of the classic flip-album. Because i always wanted to be able to put it in a standard envelope and send it. And so i updated the size to fit in a standard envelope. And this is the version we will create. So that, for Christmas for example, they can make new ones and send them to their dear ones.
I will let you take a look at the photos, bearing in mind that this is just the basic structure of the album, with no pattern papers in it, so it might look a bit boring for now. But i promise you they will look much more exciting next week ;).

And here's the video, with sound ON mandatory ;).

Until next time, have a lovely time!

Pet shop easel-cards...inversed

Hello everyone!

We are back from yet another scrapbooking workshop - this time dedicated to our favourite pets. Not to make things too complicated - the more options we have, the more difficult it is to make a choice - we went for the classics, and so the kids had to chose between their cats and their dogs. We made oblique easel-cards. And it was a first for all of them, but one of the girls was especially eager to make this card. Why one of them? Well, it's a...short story :)). And since it's so short, i will share it with you.
Teo, 'cause that's the name of the girl, was one of the 2 girls who took part at the tearoom-workshop we had back in April. And then the plan was to create this type of card, but somehow we ended by making the classic easel-card. Which Teo, like everyone else, was happy and proud with. But she still ended up by asking why they don't look the same? Well, you know what i mean when i say that now, when she came to her next workshop, it had to be this card and no one other. Kids don't forget easily ;). And now she was happy - like she finally received something that was promised to her for too long. I was only too happy to "oblige", of course :).
They were all very glad and proud of their cards and themselves, of course. Irina, our steadiest "client" (only 7 yo) amazed me yesterday when she said "when we go home after every scrapbooking workshop, we are...bigger". So right she is.
Well, that's the story about yesterday's workshop. So here are some photos from yesterday:

Next workshop will be dedicated to Children's Day and we will create cards again - a card they saw yesterday and fell in love with: they saw in it a house that you can close and in which you can put your dolls and your favorite things. The paper will be especially chosen so it matches their age and dreams.
Felicitarea inchisa si....                         ...deschisa

So, with this i leave you and wish you all a lovely weekend!

Easter scrapbook pages

Just dropping a few lines to show you all the lovely Easter page we made on Wednesday. Irina made, that is. And she was very proud of it. In the last photo you can see my embellishments box, that makes Irina feel creative every time.
We will see each other next Wednesday, when we will create easel-cards about animals.

 And here's a short video:

Until next time, have a lovely spring!

JMS's 1st sculpture exhibition

Hello everyone!

Im back again with news from these last days. It's been a very eventful and creative Easter holiday. I will be very honest and say that i did not really managed to finish all the cleaning that i had planned (did not manage to wash the curtains), but managed to do the cooking, so at least we did not starve for Easter, lol.
Our main activity during Easter was to create. Well, my hubby more than me. He is very creative as it is. But recently he discovered he is excited by sculpture. And im very glad that he found something to excite him, it's very important, as we all know. So in the last 2 months he dived into sculpture and managed to create around 10 pieces. He offered 1 or 2 and he had 8 left. Actually just 5. The last 3 he made especially for the exhibition he had on 2nd of May at the tea shop. Same tea shop where i had my last scrapbooking workshop.
It was a very nice event to which mainly creative people took part: music, painting, photography, mixedmedia and scrapbooking. The energies were flowing, good ones of course. It was all perfectly perfect. We had a small contest as well, where the participants had to guess correctly all the names of the sculptures. The prize was a scrapbooking album (last pic in the slide) that contained the photos below. The winner was another creative person, who draws very nicely and who was very excited by her prize. She plans to take photos of her favorite drawings and include them in the album.
And now i will just let you with the creations and the short slide i made, with sound mandatory ON. Enjoy and see you on Wednesday, at the next workshop!
